It's sick how much I am following this stuff...
Bloody-Disgusting released a short article on the 21st confirming that Shawnee Smith is indeed going to Toronto to film new footage for Saw 6. It will all be flashback footage, like I previously predicted/guaranteed, but at least it will be new. At least everyone officially knows now that they didn't just announce her to sell movie tickets and just integrate the same file footage from Saw 3 that they used in the 4th and 5th movie (her wheeling Lynn into the room and her lying on the floor after being shot).
The article also gives hints into the plot by saying that the new footage is essential to the outcome of the movie. Seeing that a lot of people are thinking that this will be the last Saw film (thank God), I think it is about time that they realized how important Amanda was to the entire franchise. If they make most of this movie flashbacks, I hope they do the importance justice and come up with a really good background that was only previously hinted at. Possibilities/examples being: digging deeper into her heroin addiction, how/why she was framed and arrested by Eric Matthews, how Jigsaw found her for the jaw trap (following the Saw: Rebirth comic and showing that he met her in a rehab hospital after he drove his car off the cliff), how she felt/perceived Hoffman... the list just goes on and on.
I think showing her feelings toward Hoffman are essential. He expressed his thoughts and doubts about Amanda in Saw 5, but we have no idea what she felt about him. Like, was the role of the new Jigsaw after John died a competition to the two of them that went to the last one standing? Obviously Hoffman beat Amanda seeing that the letter he wrote sent her off the edge and she failed her final test.
There's just so much to think about with this character. I love it.

Saw 6
So I read today that the geniuses behind the Saw franchise (sarcasm; aka, behind Saw 4-5) released that they're bringing back Shawnee Smith (Amanda Young) for Saw 6.
Wtf is Saw 6, a prequel?
I have nothing against bringing Amanda back, because she's my favorite character in the entire franchise, but in all fairness... the bitch has been dead for 2 movies. There are only 2 semi-conceivable reasons why she is being brought back:
1. It is going to have prequel aspects and most of the movie will be flashbacks (naturally in more detail) of events that occurred in between previous traps/encounters or stuff that happened before the original jaw trap in Saw.
2. They wrote a script that can't rely on previously filmed footage of Shawnee like every other Saw already has (flashbacks of the jaw trap in Saw 2-3, flashbacks of Amanda in the house trap in 3-5, showing Amanda dead in 4-5, etc.).
Apparently a main reason for bringing Shawnee back is to reveal the contents of the letter she opened, written by Hoffman that upset her so much, in Saw 3. I have wanted to know the contents ever since I watched Saw 3.
They also said there are several new characters in Saw 6 and it involves a lot of traps that required the victims to fight each other, like the mausoleum trap in Saw 4. Those sound like Hoffman's traps because Jigsaw's were not set up that way and Amanda's traps were set up so you wouldn't survive no matter what. Obviously one new character will be played by Tanedra, the girl that won Scream Queens on VH1.
I just don't see how they are going to wrap up everything. They still have to make Saw 7 and most likely Saw 8. All everyone else wants to know is what happened to Dr. Gordon.
Who gives a fuck what happened to Dr. Gordon?! He most likely died after cutting his foot off. Duh.
All I can say is that I'm pissed because now my curiosity is too high. I'm going to have to see it even though I vowed never to see another Saw film in theaters after seeing Saw 5. Boo.

been a while...
i'm kind of debating on dropping out of college... at least for a while.
i was thinking about it last night. the only reason i'm in school is so i have insurance. i don't want to be in school. i hate school. i have always hated school.
i have been wasting money for the past 2 years and don't have much to show for it because i've dropped a lot of classes along the way.
i don't know what to major in. i don't know what classes to take. i get overwhelmed with more than 2 classes which is why i drop classes. i know it's normal to have at least 12 credit hours, but i just get overwhelmed and don't do well... i don't know how i sailed through high school with no problems and graduated with a 3.7 gpa.
i've been looking at jobs that i would like that don't require a degree. my friends tell me i should look into writing or design. i just don't know.
i don't have the guts to tell my parents either.
it just seems dumb to waste time and money just so i have health coverage.
i have a job that i could activate benefits for if i needed them.
i don't know. i just am so miserable in school right now. i'm not taking summer classes this year thinking that might clear my head a little bit.
